We are proud to bring you mobile integrative animal health services for large and small animals!
Review common house and farm call services below to answer common pricing questions, and then feel free to contact Dr. Bacon through the Contact Us button, Contact submission form, Call, Text, or Email. Please note that Dr. Bacon asks for owners to fill out history paperwork on animal’s prior to visits and she often takes anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes reviewing history, looking over prior records, and preparing for each appointment when they are provided with adequate lead time (48 hours preferred.)
Multiple clients at the same address will receive split mileage, while different locations in a similar region/direction are eligible for reduced mileage based on number of locations that day. You will be told the travel fee based on your singular location for estimates, as there are no guarantee for reduced mileage. This is because clients sometimes need to reschedule or cancel, especially with inclement weather and a lack of facilities in certain conditions. You may choose to use social media or your own personal network to enhance the people in your area needing service on the same day to aid in travel fee reduction.
Please view the travel schedule page for up-to-date distance traveling locations and hospitals to try to get the most cost effective time for services to your area. Distance counties (Grand, Summit, Eagle, Pitkin) can always expect an $80 minimum travel fee for separate locations when multiple clients are in the area. Split mileage still available for clients at the same location.
Dr. Meg Bacon currently works closely with some brick and mortar locations in Colorado. You do not have to use these locations as your primary veterinarian to receive Dr. Bacon's services. Fees will be different from the fees listed below, and not all services listed below are available at every hospital location. Call your hospital of interest to have them provide you with their estimate of service fees at their location. You can then weigh the cost benefit of a house call visit, which would be the prices listed on this website, versus an in-hospital appointment. Thank you for your understanding.
Safety is a priority in providing our services. There are many transmissible diseases with our animals such as kennel cough, Herpes virus, and Strangles. We ask that you please make us aware of any concerns with your animals health or other animals on the property PRIOR to the appointment. We may discuss special scheduling depending on those concerns, such as visiting young animals at higher risk with reduced vaccination status earlier in the day compared to older patients. We appreciate horse owners using their own grooming equipment to have horses cleaned prior to appointments.
COVID-19 and other illnesses may prohibit care. Dr. Bacon is vaccinated against COVID, and may be wearing a mask depending on various hospital policies. If you are feeling sick or have been in contact with someone that may be sick or had a recent exposure, please make plans to reschedule your appointment or find an alternative handler for your animal.

If you are unsure if your animal will allow both, either due to level of pain, needle sensitivity, or inability to stand for long periods of time, please do not pick this option as a large block of time is given to these appointments. Some animal’s personalities need more time than others!
Please fill out appropriate client forms at least 48 hours prior to your appointment for these appointments to run smoothly and efficiently for the benefit of everyone. We love to work with other professionals for an integrated health program including other veterinarians, farriers, behaviorists, trainers, acupuncturists, and massage therapists! If your animal is in need of additional therapies not listed, please let us know and we can try to help you connect with another professional.
If you are a professional service provider in our area, please reach out to Dr. Bacon via phone or email to let her know what services you can provide and in which locations so she can relay that to clients!
Dr. Bacon is happy to provide specialty consulting services to your clients in need of integrative care. If you have multiple clients or cases of concern, setting up dates of service at your facility can streamline care if further diagnostic imaging or bloodwork may be indicated. Please contact our office to discuss options that meet your needs. Providers or clients are welcome to contact us in cases of referral.
Dr. Bacon completes records utilizing a chiropractic medical record system that allows formation of discharge instructions to the client, but also a medical record to go back to the primary care provider for integrated care. Acupuncture and TCVM care will also be placed in these records. Dr. Bacon sends these records at the request of the owner. If you ever have questions regarding a patient’s care, Dr. Bacon is always happy to go over a case with you.
We hope to bring you flexibility by taking cash, check, Venmo Business, Credit Card (Square Swiping available when internet service available) and QuickBooks billing for established clients. Please be aware that Medicine in Motion Veterinary Services is a small solo-practice, and Venmo Business, Credit Cards and Quickbooks billing all charge fees to Dr. Bacon for transactions. Cash and check are always preferred for this reason. If you are receiving services at a hospital location, payments will only be received by the hospital policies and methods at the providing hospital unless otherwise noted.
Cancellations should be completed no later than 24 hours in advance for mobile appointments, and the business day prior for long distance travel hospital appointments. Large animal appointments at locations without cover from weather may need to be rescheduled, and so Medicine in Motion Veterinary Services will give owners the same courtesy in return should weather or conflict arise. Clients canceling at less than 24 hours notice without a valid emergent reason (COVID exposure, illness, emergencies) may be refused future service. Clients frequently rescheduling at 24 hours notice may also be shown the same policy, as filling those openings last minute can be difficult and costly for such a small business.
Ambulatory services that are requested at far distances or in areas of very low cell service for new clients may be asked to put a deposit down in advance until a doctor-client relationship can be established regarding payment scheduling. Should the appointment need to be cancelled, as long as it is prior to the 24 hour cancellation policy, the funds will be returned.
